Childbirth  Education

Through WomanCraft Midwifery I am a certfied Childbirth Educator.  I currently teach both private and group classes. 

Private childbirth education:  Private classes can be taught in your home or my home and are typically taught every other week for 3 weeks for 2 to 3 hours each class.  Private classes include the following topics though customization is available and welcome:

Class 1:  Pregnancy Issues, Choices in Childbirth; Fetal Development and Anatomy; Stages of Labor and the Process of Birth; Tools for Pain Management; Labor Role Play

Class 2:  Choices-Advantages and Disadvantages; Complications; Shoulder Dystocia, Blood Loss; C-section-Prevention, Risks and The Process; Birth Plans. 

Class 3:  Birth Plan review; Newborn Procedures; Circumcision; Vaccination; Breastfeeding; Postpartum Care for Mom and Baby, Local Resources and much more.

Cost:  $40 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. 

Group childbirth education:  I have been teaching group natural childbirth education classes through Mothers and Company in Boylston, MA.  Please check the website www.mothersandcompany.com for more information on dates, class times and fees.
